Jeanie Marie Buss is an American businesswoman from the United States. She currently holds the position as president of the Los Angeles Lakers, the NBA's majority owners. Buss, a Californian native, grew up with an impressive life. Jerry Buss' father was a real-estate magnate who later owned the Lakers and several other companies in the field of sports. The couple divorced in 1972, which caused her to feel that she was emotionally neglected. She joined her family's business when she was 19 as general manager for the Los Angeles Strings tennis team.
